The SandyCup Story

SandyCup a Leading Sportswear Company

Why SandyCup started ?

Due to the lack of Footvolley tournaments and competitive frameworks in Israel, we launched the first private Footvolley tournament — the SandyCup — to provide a competitive stage for the best players in the country.

The first Sandy Cup tournament took place at Sportek Kfar Saba on November 5th, 2022.

The SandyCup Brand

We wanted to create something special a tournament that stands out.

Very quickly, we realized that the key to becoming a major event is strong branding.

And what’s the best way to build a Footvolley brand? High-quality sets.

So, we ordered about 100 branded sets from Brazil, a process that was almost impossible to pull off in Israel at the time.

Our first collection arrived in three unique designs, and we even received sponsorship from one of Israel’s most loved café chains — Benedict.

SandyBall

In 2023, we ordered our first custom-designed ball from a vendor in Brazil.

It took months for the shipment to arrive, and we had only a small batch, which sold out almost immediately.

The demand was high from day one, proving that we had identified a real need for a softer, more comfortable ball perfect for Footvolley and beach players.

If the first order took months, the second one took nearly a year, affected by the war and global supply delays.

As we looked for more control on the logistic and wanted an even softer version, we began working with new vendors, testing balls from almost ten different manufacturers.

With each batch, we refined the design and feel, round after round, until we reached the version we have today.

And now, we’re already developing the next generation with new designs coming soon.

The Sets

We started importing sets through a friend in Italy.

It worked, but it was slow, and we didn’t have full control.

At first, we produced sets only for the Sandy Cup tournaments, but we quickly realized there was huge demand beyond just the tournament players.

So, we reached out to a direct apparel manufacturer, and there was an instant connection.

Of course, it wasn’t without challenges, we had sets stolen by a shipping company employee, and we made plenty of mistakes, both on our side and at the factory, in almost every step of the process.

But you learn, and under pressure, you learn fast.

Today, we’re proud to say that we sell tens of thousands of items in 2025.

Tennis first, then Padel, Running, Gym, Climbing, Badminton and many more.

Friends who saw what we were creating for Footvolley asked us to design for them too.

The big brands had never really tried to adapt to the Israeli player, and we were happy to jump at the opportunity.

Yes — we even had to enlarge the pockets so they could hold three tennis balls,

and it’s amazing to see players who’ve worn white their entire careers suddenly add color to their game.

We’re always excited to customize and support more local athletes.

    Sandy Cup All Over

With our growing success, we expanded our line to include swimwear for the beach, pocket-free shorts for surfing, designed T-shirts for everyday wear and nights out, bracelets, towels, and much more.

    What Next?

In 2026, we’re planning to launch new collections for women,

expand our sales channels across Europe, the U.S., and South America,

strengthen our logistics center in China, and open additional distribution hubs.

We also aim to welcome more professional athletes into the Sandy family.
